Family photos are the closest thing we have to freezing a memory in time. Even when life is crazy, it is so worth it to take the time to capture each stage of life. I consider it an honor to photograph your family, from portraits, to birthdays, to maternity photos and everything in between. I love reconnecting year after year and watching your family grow.

FAQs About Family Photography
Where will the session take place?
We can shoot family photos almost anywhere. If you have a location that is convenient and comfortable for your family we can shoot there. I also have a list of beautiful locations to choose from so you can pick one that works well for you.
What should we wear for our session?
A lot of photographers will tell you that neutrals work best - in all honesty, that is true. Soft colors and neutrals will photograph the best and be the most flattering in your photos. That said, I still like to encourage you to make sure your outfits feel like you. I’ve had families show up before in matching workout outfits, and I loved it! Do whatever will represent your family and the type of photos you want. When couples book with me I give more detailed tips about this topic and am always happy to help review outfits with you ahead of time.
What will happen if we have bad weather, or a sick family member?
Don’t worry! Sometimes a little bit of rain can make your photos even more fun. That said, we can always reschedule. I understand that things come up outside of our control. I will be in touch leading up to the session and will have a back up plan if the weather looks like it isn’t going to cooperate.
What if we have a fur baby or a family pet?
I am ALWAYS happy when clients include their fur babies and pets in their session. There are lots of ways we can capture them at your session, and they always help keep everyone smiling. Just give me a heads up so that we can plan ahead.
How to keep your family photos fun and stress free.
We all know it can be challenging to get your entire family ready for photos - to get everyone looking nice, get them there on time, and keep them clean until the photos start. Don’t overthink it. The best photos will capture your family in their current stage of life, chaos and all. You’ll be surprised by how gorgeous your photos will turn out even when it feels like craziness at the time, so try to enjoy it and just have a great time. I provide more detailed tips to clients who are booked with me so that the session can be enjoyable for everyone and we can capture the best photos possible!
