Layna & Phil

Belmont Hall

August 28th, 2021

This wedding day was extra special for me because Layna is my big sis and Phil is my new brother-in-law! This is one of the moments where I’m so thankful to be on this photography journey. To be able to participate in my own sister’s wedding in this way was amazing! Even though I would likely not recommend this going forward to someone also trying to participate as a Maid of Honor.

Layna & Phil celebrated their wedding ceremony at the gorgeous Historic Belmont Hall with a large reception that followed at Cheswold Firehall. The location was a perfect fit for Layna & Phil’s adventurous and outdoor-loving personalities. It also allowed for an intimate feel during the ceremony, even with all of their many friends and family in attendance.

The day showed their love for God in every way. Layna & Phil’s vows made their love for the Lord clear, as well as their love for each other. The ceremony had many personal touches that made it special just to them, including Phil playing violin while he and his father lead everyone in a hymn. Layna wore jewelry from family members that helped hold family members close. And the “First Look” of the bride had a “Wow” factor for everyone!

The reception could not have been a better representation of the love and support that their friends and family have for them. They have a huge support group cheering them on and everyone was ready to dance and celebrate as soon as the DJ would let them! Layna and Phil ended the evening with a glow stick exit. Everyone cheered and threw glow sticks as they left to start their life together on an amazing honeymoon!

I wish you both amazing things in the years to come. I’ll be right here for all of it and cannot wait to capture your future! I love you both.
